Validation of safety software – consists of reviewing and testing the safety software using recognized techniques to detect and correct existing errors.
On-machine automation testing, including cold tests (performed after device commissioning) and hot tests (performed before final commissioning). The purpose is to verify that all components of the safety system interact correctly to ensure protection against hazards.
