Preparation of Certification Documentation for Safety Automation

As part of the conformity assessment process for pressure equipment assemblies, the safety automation system must be properly verified. Properly prepared documentation helps avoid issues with acceptance by UDT (Office of Technical Inspection) and prevents resulting delays. We offer a comprehensive service for preparing safety automation acceptance documentation for industrial or energy facilities, in either Polish or English, in accordance with sector-specific standards PN-EN 61511 or PN-EN 50156.

Full Scope of the Service Includes:

Hazard and risk analysis using the HAZOP method in accordance with PN-EN 61882-1:2016. We identify potential hazards and hazardous scenarios and assign risk levels based on the risk matrix provided by the client.

Assignment of SIL levels – Each defined safety function protecting against identified hazards is assigned the required Safety Integrity Level (SIL), allowing acceptable risk levels to be achieved.
Preparation of the Safety Requirements Specification (SRS) – For each function with an assigned SIL, we develop a specification required for later evaluation of the automation system. This document contains both functional requirements (e.g., assumed testing intervals for components) and safety requirements.
Verification of SIL compliance – This involves checking whether the designed safety function meets the assigned SIL level, as defined during the risk assessment and detailed in the safety requirements specification.
Preparation of a validation procedure – This allows for testing the safety automation system before it is put into operation, with the goal of eliminating any errors introduced during the system development phases.
Preparation of the safety manual for the automation system – This ensures that the required SIL levels are maintained throughout the entire operational life of the safety system. The manual includes procedures for proof testing, component replacement, and system modification when necessary.
