As a result, it is common practice to implement alternative solutions that offer a comparable level of safety to standardized approaches, but at a lower cost. In such cases, a safety analysis is required to demonstrate that the proposed solution provides a level of safety equivalent to that of the normative solution.

Scope of the Service Includes:

Safety analysis – Conducted based on specific product standards and one of the recognized risk assessment methodologies. The outcome of the analysis determines whether the proposed alternative solution meets the essential safety requirements. Additionally, recommendations may be issued. This type of analysis is required by the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) in cases where product-specific standards are only partially applied.
Evaluation of proposed solutions – This service includes a preliminary assessment of the proposed technical solutions before submitting the official revision of the technical design for analysis. The result is a recommendation on the compliance of the proposed solution with the accepted reference conditions or necessary corrective actions.
